This piece was commissioned by JG NEUKOMM Architecture to add texture and liveliness to the residential lobby at 55 Suffolk in the Lower East Side of NYC. Conceptualized to exist in parallel with a large floor-to-ceiling window, Sun Path acts as a foil to the luminous glass view, seeming to rise and set on a converging cycle as its hues blend with the daylight and swell during the nighttime. The effect creates a second horizon next to the ground floor window: an experiment in domesticating sunlight.
